Sindkheda Town

Head-quarters of the taluka of the same name in West Khandesh District, Bombay, situated in 21 16' N. and 74 45' E., on the Tapti Valley Railway. Population (1901), 5,021. The municipality, established in 1864, had an average income during the decade ending 1901 of Rs 4,000, In 1903-4 the income was Rs. 3,800. The town contains 'two cotton-ginning and pressing factories, a dispensary, and three schools, with 284 pupils, of which one, with 20 pupils, is for girls.
