Head-quarters of the taluk of the same name in Yeotmal District, Benir, situated in 19 55' N. and 77 38' E., on the Pfls river, from which it takes its name. Population (1901), 6,742. Pusad is mentioned in the Ain-i-Akbarl as a pargana town. It contains two old Hemadpanti temples, and the ruins of some others ; also the remains of an irrigation tank, now silted up.
