Kohlu
Kohlu, 1908
Tahsil of the Sibi subdivision in the District of Sibi, Baluchistan, lying between 29 degree 43' and 30 degree 2' N. and 68° 58' and 69 degree 32' E. Its area is 362 square miles, and the population (1901), 1,743. It forms a triangular plateau about 3,900 feet above sea-level and has a pleasant climate. The head-quarters bear the same name as the tahsil. Villages number nine. The land revenue in 1903-4 amounted to Rs. 14,154. On lands acquired by the Marris previous to 1892 revenue at the rate of one-twelfth of the produce is taken, an equal share being paid by the cultivator to the Marri chief. On other lands revenue is levied at the rate of one-sixth.
