Yana Ngoba, a well-known designer of Arunachal Pradesh who specializes in Indian ornamental design, organised a preview fashion show ahead of North East Festival at The Blues in Itanagar on 25th October 2014.
Ngoba is working on to motivate people to use Loin Looms of Arunachal Pradesh. Her designs are based on Arunachal traditional designs and said she is trying to infuse new leash of life in it with a modern touch. Stressing on the use of loin looms, she said besides longer durability like denim jeans, loin looms can strike a chord among young generation especially casual wears.
Yana is one of those few designers who has no formal training when it comes to designing, just her pure heart wanting to create more! She began her journey to becoming one of the most coveted designers today at the tender age of 12, and hasn't looked back since. Her collections mostly reflect the beauty of the North East with light elements of modernity. She's quite popular among certain Bollywood celebrities like Soha Ali Khan and Tisca Chopra. With her collections being on-trend and wearable, we must say she's one of a kind.
