Made her debut in Hindi-Urdu films (see below) but found superstardom in Telugu and Tamil films, where she has a massive fan following.
Height: 5' 6" (168 cm) Tammanaah is of Sindhi origin, not a Punjabi as some have assumed.
In the Telugu and Tamil film industries she is known as the ‘milk white beauty’ ([www.dailomo.com/white-beauty-tamanna-is-heartbroken/ Dailomo]), ‘milky beauty’ (25 Cine Frames) and similar nice names that allude to her fair complexion.

Rumours of Tammanaah’s engagement spread like wildfire when she was seen wearing a diamond ring that she had not worn before. Some said that her fiancé was a businessman; others said that it was an actor. Abdul Razzaq, Pakistani all-rounder cricketer: For the Pakistani press it is a matter of national pride if their Pakistani male heroes are seen with Hunood, Yahood or Nasrani (Hindu, Jewish, Christian) ‘girlfriends.’ Awami Politics was one of several Pakistani sources that wrote in late 2013 about “the [likely] arrival of new ‘Indian bhabhi’ in Pakistan.”
The basis of this story? Awami Politics wrote: ‘Pakistani all-rounder Abdul Razzaq has been captured in a Dubai jeweler shop with the Indian actress Tamanna Bhatia where he gives pose facing the camera while the later has bowed down her face with shyness. The picture has created hype on the social websites. It is being said that the picture was taken on the inauguration of the shop …It is pertinent here to mention that the 33 year aged right armed Abdul Razzaq married with Ayesha. They are enjoying married life with children. Tamanna Bhatia is 10 years younger than Abdul Razzaq.’

Tamannaah Fans Club had posted in May 2011:
“Tamil beauty Tamannaah Bhatia is said to be astonished with [news about the forthcoming] Karthi Sivakumar marriage… as she spoke to him last week and he said nothing relating to his marriage to her on phone. … Anyway, Tamannaah was happy that her colleague Karthi Sivakumar is getting into martial bliss and wished the couple her best wishes. When asked that, will she attend the marriage? She says of course I will and will also participate in the marriage ceremony rituals if possible.”
Four years later, in April 2015 Dailomo published a story, White Beauty Tamanna is Heartbroken. The site wrote: ‘The actress was gossiped to be in love with a famous actor. It is said that, she was planning to marry him and avoided a few good offers, for the sake of settling down in life. But the actor seems to have had a completely different idea about their relationship… Kollywood sources say Tamanna is heartbroken, hearing the engagement news of the famous actor.’
Her rules
No bikini rule: In the Hindi-Urdu film Humshakals, while Bipasha Basu and Esha Gupta sport bikinis, Tamannaah doesn't. Sajid wanted to shoot all three heroines walking out of the water in bikinis but Tamannaah has always maintained that she doesn't want to wear a bikini. So, she wore shorts with a really short top.
But topless (from behind) is okay Tamannaah has a steaming hot sequence in Bahubali: The Beginning (2015) in which she removes her top altogether. True, the audience can only see her back, but there can be no doubt that actor Prabhas got his eyeful.
Maybe in Tamannaah’s value system going topless for one individual is less sinful than wearing a bikini for the general Janata.
