Loves

Quizzing. He was the runner-up in the BBC Mastermind contest in 2002.

He’s the cool professor in touch with the times. He tells his students they can stage a play, or submit a handycam movie, instead of writing a 2,000-word project. Gowda, who teaches various aspects of public policy and management, has a keen interest in politics and a vision for transforming Bangalore.

After a teaching stint at the University of Oklahoma, the John M. Olin Post-doctoral Fellow in Law & Economics, University of California, Berkeley, came to India with a dream.
