Jemtila Jamir, an aspiring missionary, was crowned Miss Mokokchung 2013 at the town hall, Mokokchung, here on Friday.

Contestant No. 12 Nukshirenla and Imtimenla (10) were crowned 1st & 2nd runners-up, respectively.

Individual title winners include: Miss Perfect 10 - Chatila; Miss Beautiful Skin - Jemtila Jamir; Miss Photogenic - Chubarenla; Miss Congeniality - Alemla Imchen; Miss Talented - Arenla Walling; Miss Facebook Choice - Imtimenla; Modern Ethnic Wear - Masapula.

Singer Alabo Naga serenaded the evening gown round with his ‘Dreams of a thousand dreams’, followed by the Tetso Sisters, the quartet representing Mokokchung in the Naga Orpheus Hunt and a dance by the Ice Crew 2.5.

The judges for the event were Lipokla (chief judge), Dr. Meren, Mark, Limatola and former Miss Mokokchung & Miss Nagaland, Imsulemla.

The winner, Miss Mokokchung 2013, won a cash prize of Rs. 50,000, while the 1st runners-up Rs. 30,000 and 2nd runners-up received Rs. 20,000 each plus gift hampers.

Miss Mokokchung beauty pageant 2013, under the theme ‘Celebrating Women’, was organized by Fab Affairs under the aegis of Mokokchung District Art & Culture Council (MDACC), and choreographed and directed by Toshi Zen Longkumer.
