In the Delhi Art Fair, 2015, Girjesh Singh's solo booth, visages stared out at viewers. Each brick, upon which a face was carved, was collected from various homes that have been demolished- a metaphor for making life whole again. The artist from Uttar Pradesh enjoys working with brick, an unconventional medium for high art. "I am interested in life and people and I look at the positive side of things despite the challenges one faces”, whose works are memorials of the everyday struggle of mankind.
