He picked up an 11 per cent stake in Vodafone India and then sold it this April, reaping a Rs.3,000-crore profit in less than three years.

He announced a Rs.3,000-crore strategic alliance with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in February for residential development debt financing in India, thereby tapping the potential of real estate financing in India.
