After the liberation of Bangladesh (formerly East Pakistan) in 1971
the Government of Pakistan set up a War Inquiry Commission. The
‘Main Report’ of the said Commission “did not have the evidence of
most of the persons taken as prisoners of war, including the major
personalities.” Therefore, a Supplementary Report became necessary.
The following is the complete text of the Supplementary Report, which is
more eye-opening than the ‘Main Report.’
This text that follows is bound to have a number of spelling mistakes that
typically arise during ‘optical recognition’ (scanning). We would be grateful
if these could be pointed out in a message to the Facebook community,
Indpaedia.com. All information used will be gratefully acknowledged.
