The good old days

By Hiten J Trivedi, Kiran Kaur, The Times of India

There was a time when the two were best of friends. Back in 1998, Shah Rukh Khan had received an award. But the actor had dedicated it to Salman Khan. A video of the awards ceremony has resurfaced online and it shows SRK saying in his acceptance speech, "I would like to dedicate this award to Salman, jisko lagta hai ki saare awards sirf mujhko milte hain.” When Shah Rukh called Salman on stage, he sportingly walked up to him, thanked everyone and walked away with the award.

Movies: Salman and Shah Rukh Khan have done several movies in the past. Be it Rakesh Roshan’s Karan Arjun where Salman and SRK played brothers or Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Salman and SRK have done a few movies together.

TV shows: Not many people remember but Salman and Shah Rukh Khan made an appearance together on Kaun Banega Crorepati in 2007. The game show was then hosted by King Khan and Salman was accompanied by his former girlfriend Katrina Kaif. The episode was historic as it had both the warring Khans sitting in front of each other. Salman and Katrina had come as celebrity guests to win the prize money for charity.

The fall-out

Condensed from i) Soumyadipta Banerjee, June 14, 2013 Salman Khan versus Shah Rukh Khan: The real story and ii) Daliya Ghose 13th March 2013 The full History behind Shahrukh-Salman enmity For the full, original stories, click the hyperlinks.

The spark

The souring of relations began with a verbal duel between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan on 16th July, 2008 at a restaurant in Bandra West, Mumbai. It was later reported that Salman Khan and Shah Rukh came to blows because of an unsavoury remark made by the latter about his ex-girlfriend Aishwarya Rai. Daliya Ghose adds: The day was the 17th of July 2008, and also Katrina Kaif’s birthday. At that point Katrina happened to be Salman’s girlfriend. The two got into a very serious and heated verbal conversation when Shahrukh Khan happened to remark about Salman’s ex, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. When the fight between the two was at its peak, the ladies, Gauri and Katrina came between them to calm things down. However, although they calmed down, the deed was down. The friendship that existed between the two was broken, and probably would never be mended.

Soumyadipta Banerjee believe that other causes could be because Shah Rukh upset because Salman had made an uncomplimentary comment about the reality show he was hosting? [Salman’s remark was that SRK’s reality show Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain not doing well. ] Or was it some deep-rooted, sub-conscious hate against each other coming to the fore because both were drunk?

Daliya Ghose gives additional reasons: Salman had asked Shahrukh to do a guest role in his film Main aur Mrs. Khanna, which had been declined by Shahrukh. This too had offended Salman to a great extent. Salman started bugging Shahrukh by saying that his show, Dus Ka Dum, was more popular than Shahrukh’s show, Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?

Shahrukh has publicly apologized to Salman in a show, Koffee with Karan, the entire act was seen as a TRP rising act by Salman.

The reasons behind their fight are far too deep and their anger was simmering for years before it reached the tipping point.

Friends in the past

Salman treated Shah Rukh as member of his family When Shah Rukh was struggling to make his niche in the film industry, Salman had already reached stardom. There was a time when Shah Rukh used to address Salman as ‘Sir’

When Shah Rukh became famous, Salman had acknowledged him as a star and did a film with him called Karan Arjun (1995). Salman was a bigger star than Shah Rukh at that point of time.

A South producer managed to get them together again. Tamil producer K S Adhiyaman managed the feat and got the stars for a remake of his own Tamil film; the film was called Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam. The film went to the floors in 1997, but couldn’t cash in on the two Khans because it took more than six years in the making due to production delays and financial hassles. It was released in 2002 and managed to recover its money even though the look of both the heroes kept changing in different shots of the film. It was very funny!

The last film that saw the two Khans together in one frame was Om Shanti Om in 2007. It did not just feature Salman, but also his brother Arbaaz, his wife Malaika and his best friend Sanjay Dutt.

The form that the rivalry takes

Salman’s public functions coincide with SRK’s

Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan clash once again

The Times of India Ankur Pathak,Mumbai Mirror | Jun 16, 2014

On Sunday the 15th June 2014 Shah Rukh wooed the young, and the young at heart, at a Father's Day event at a city mall, Salman unveiled the first trailer of his upcoming film, Kick, at a suburban theatre. What was interesting is that both the events were timed just half an hour apart, splitting up the fans and dividing the media turnout, since both were open to the public.

The invites for the SRK event had gone out on Wednesday, June 13 [June 13 was a Friday] while the invite for the Kick event arrived only late on Saturday [June 14].

When asked whether he had planned his event to coincide with SRK's, Sallu quipped, "Planning aur main?" and thwarted further questioning by breaking into a jig.

This is not the first time the two stars have clashed on the social calendar. In 2012, an event to announce Salman as the brand ambassador of a travel portal was postponed by a couple of hours so that Salman took the stage at exactly the time that SRK was supposed to arrive at an event, a few kilometres away.

SRK befriends Salman's enemies

Salman Khan ka dushman = Shah Rukh Khan ka dost

The Times of India

The rivalry between Shah Rukh and Salman Khan has given way to patch-ups between many old foes in Bollywood. There is a popular adage in Hindi which says “dushman ka dushman dost hota hai” (your enemy’s enemy is your friend). The line used million times in Hindi films also applies aptly to the Hindi film industry. The major case in point being the rivalry between Bollywood biggies Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan!

At one point of time, these two best buddies together were a force to reckon with giving blockbuster hits like Karan Arjun and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. But today since they both have gone their own ways, other big stars who were their rivals have crossed paths to get friendly with the opposite Khan. Even the two Khans have gone out of their way to approach their otherwise contenders socially.

Aamir Khan–Salman Khan: Though Salman and Aamir are great pals now, they did not share a good rapport during the shoot of Andaaz Apna Apna. Salman had taken the surprising initiative to make-up with Aamir when he gifted the latter two paintings of Ghajini before the release of the film. This broke the ice, which was good news for the two stars, but not-so-good news for Shah Rukh.

After reports suggested that Shah Rukh and Gauri would walk the ramp for Karan Johar, Salman’s immediate reaction was to launch a contest of one-upmanship. Not content with just using Katrina Kaif as a counter-attack for Gauri, he convinced perfectionist Aamir Khan and host of other top Bollywood actors to walk the ramp for his charity, Being Human.

It was a rare treat though to watch Aamir walk the ramp. Aamir Khan doesn’t usually walk the ramp but Salman had apparently personally requested him and so he agreed to do so. Also because it was for a good cause and charity.

However, there was a greater cause than charity though: it was two Khans versus one. The war intensified. Shah Rukh, increasingly isolated, was now pitted against two formidable adversaries: Aamir, a shrewd strategist, and Salman, who will never make it as a diplomat to any country.

Salman Khan-Ajay Devgn: We all know that Ajay Devgn's wife creates magic on screen whenever she is paired opposite Shah Rukh Khan and the actress is also best friends with SRK in real life. However, when it comes to Ajay Devgn's equation with SRK he prefers staying away from him. Several instances of his open rivalry with SRK has made headlines in the past. Remember the Son of Sardaar and Jab Tak Jaan release clash. On the other hand, Ajay Devgn shares a great rapport with Salman Khan. From doing films together to making friendly appearances in each other's films, both the actors are really close.

Shah Rukh Khan-Priyanka Chopra: This hot bombshell of Bollywood was once best pals of SRK and wife Gauri Khan but soon the alleged growing proximity between PC and SRK become the talk of the town and wife Gauri had to interfere. It was reported in many sections of the media that the actress was banned from Gauri's social club and apparently Gauri also told Shah Rukh not to work with Priyanka. However, soon after the fall out, Priyanka grew close to once rival Dabangg Salman Khan.

Aishwarya Rai–Shah Rukh Khan: Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan made a great pair in films like Mohabbatien and Devdas. But Aishwarya could never forgive or forget Shah Rukh when he unceremoniously dropped her from the cast of his production Chalte Chalte after Salman Khan created problems at a shooting schedule. Shah Rukh and Gauri weren’t invited at the Abhi-Ash wedding either.

But the duo decided to put their old differences aside at Karan Johar’s birthday party. Karan brought them together after which Shah Rukh apologized to Aishwarya and she gracefully accepted letting bygones be bygones.

Vivek Oberoi–Shah Rukh Khan: Salman Khan’s dislike for Vivek Oberoi is known to all. Their rivalry has been on since ages. Vivek had even turned down the negative lead in Shah Rukh Khan’s production Om Shanti Om. But he has always been close to Shah Rukh Khan and his circle of friends. Whether it is Hrithik Roshan or Saif-Kareena, Vivek has always tried his best to maintain a healthy relation with Shah Rukh.

While he couldn’t succeed in appeasing Salman Khan despite his public apology, Vivek Oberoi has surely warmed up to Shah Rukh Khan. The two have been seen getting together at various events.

Akshay Kumar–Shah Rukh Khan: Superstars Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan have forgotten all their differences about who is the No 1 star in Bollywood. During the shooting of a special promotional song for his film Blue at Film City, Akshay and SRK were seen together as SRK was also shooting for an ad film at the same location.

Interestingly, it was SRK who took the initiative to meet Akshay by suddenly landing up on the sets of 'Blue'. Akshay, of course, was pleasantly surprised by this unexpected visit from SRK.

2013, 14:Iftaar hugs: Hiss and fake up?

The real story behind Salman- Shah Rukh hug?

The Times of India July 2014

July (Ramzan) 2014: As per a report in Mumbai Mirror it was the same venue, the same host and the same photo opportunity. Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan had famously buried the hatchet at Baba Siddiqui's Iftaar party at a Bandra hotel during Ramzan 2013 and the twain met again in July 2014. SRK was the first to arrive at the gathering and the Khan family, including Salman, brothers Arbaaz, Sohail and their father Salim Khan walked in half an hour later. Salman and Shah Rukh posed together with their host and then retired to two corners for the rest of the evening. While Salman sat with his brothers, his former rival took a seat with Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and Salim Khan.

Baba Siddiqui played a warm host, shuffling from his main door to the grand hall, accompanying all his guests one by one to the main hall where the Iftaar dinner was served. As soon as Salman Khan entered, sporting a casual look in a blue shirt and jeans, the entire hall echoed 'bhai' and 'bhai saalam walekum'.

A few minutes later, the [erstwhile] King Khan of Bollywood entered. Making a style statement with his ponytail, Shah Rukh met everyone warmly and entered the hall. As Salman shook hands with Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and Salim Khan, Shah Rukh made way for himself amidst the crowd towards the main table. Salman, who was standing right in front of Shah Rukh, seemed to move to the other side, and went on to meet other guests seemingly ignoring SRK behind him. Shah Rukh came forward and took his seat next to Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan.

As soon as SRK took his seat, Baba Siddiqui was seen asking him to come and stand next to him. Everything was exactly the same in 2013, the same venue and same set of guests but what took us by surprise was how unlike last year, Salman and Shah Rukh seemed to completely ignore each other. Shah Rukh and Salman posed for the sutterbugs with Baba Siddiqui standing between them, however, what was noticeable was that they seemed to be avoiding eye contact.

Though both the stars were very well aware of each other's presence, it almost seemed as if they were consciously (or unconsciously) avoiding each other through the entire party.Media persons again asked Shah Rukh and Salman to hug and after their continuous request, Shah Rukh and Salman finally embraced. After what looked like a nano seconds hug, Shah Rukh and Salman moved on and went ahead to wish other guests at the Iftaar party.

It looks like, neither of the stars were interested in hogging the limelight with their hug this time. But it was just the continuous pressure from everyone around them that forced them to 'hug'.

It was expected to be a face-off when Salman and Shah Rukh Khan came face-to-face at an iftaar party thrown by MLA and former minister Baba Siddiqui. However, the two warring Khans kept their differences aside and gave each other a warm embrace, much to the shock of the onlookers. It is said that while SRK was eating, Salman came and tapped SRK on his shoulder. SRK turned towards him and Salman embraced him. The hug became the most talked-about topic of discussion and got a lot of media coverage. It was considered as a new phase in their relationship. The two Khans continued the tradition and hugged each other again at another iftaar party.

Award ceremonies: After their much publicised hug at an iftaar party in 2013, the warring Khans also hugged during the Star Guild Awards held in January, 2014. While Salman Khan was enthralling the audience as the host, he was gracious enough to hug his reported rival Shah Rukh Khan on the stage. When Shah Rukh went on stage to receive his award for the Entertainer of the Year, Salman stepped forward and hugged SRK, much to the delight of the audience. It was said that Salman even congratulated SRK for the success of his film Chennai Express at the ceremony.

2015: bonhomie

Arpita Khan's wedding

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman at Arpita's wedding. Salman stretches out his arms in SRK's signature style.

Arpita's wedding: Salman Khan’s younger sister Arpita Khan’s wedding was in news for the most obvious of reasons. She achieved the impossible by bringing together the two reported rivals of B-Town. Speculations were rife that Salman might invite SRK for his little sister’s wedding and SRK might oblige him by attending it. However, doubts were put to rest when Salman graciously sent an invite to Shah Rukh, and SRK said that he does not even need an invite for Arpita's wedding. He had gone on record to say that he had known Arpita since she was a little baby and hence he will definitely go for her wedding. In fact, SRK was seen enjoying every moment of the mehendi ceremony by being warm and getting clicked with Salman and talking with Salman’s father, Salim Khan. In fact, a report on Bollywoodlife.com said that SRK gifted Arpita a huge hamper of designer bags. Since Arpita loves designer bags, SRK got her the latest and best hand bags of the biggest international brands in the market.

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan's reunion at the latter's sister Arpita Khan's sangeet ceremony brought smiles on the faces of their fans. Their picture clicked while sharing a warm moment with Arpita had gone viral. However, everyone who got the glimpse of that moment missed the third Khan, Aamir in the frame. When questioned about the patch-up between SRK-Salman, Aamir said, "Yes, I got to know about the patch-up. In fact, they didn't let me sleep the entire night. Around 1:30 am, they first called me and informed about it. Then around 2:30 am, we did a face-time call. So this went on till early morning and they kept me awake." Aamir gave this statement while interacting with the media at the Mumbai airport, before leaving for the wedding, with wife Kiran Rao and son Azad.

After re-uniting for their sister, Arpita Khan's wedding, superstars Shah Rukh and Salman Khan are on cordial terms with each other. They were spotted together at various events post the wedding and were seen exchanging pleasantries. However, ahead of the verdict on the 13-year old hit-and-run case, for which Salman Khan is being tried, Shah Rukh Khan visited Salman Khan at his residence in Bandra. Salman Khan, who was shooting in Kashmir for his film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, returned to the city to be present at the court for the verdict.

Shah Rukh and Salman's big patch up moment reached a crescendo of sorts when the two took to the dance floor and danced their hearts out to the tunes of 'Chaiya Chaiya.' While the actors called up Aamir Khan the same night when they hugged and made-up, they also made it a point to publicly admit to their patch-up. Salman accepted to the fact on Bigg Boss and Shah Rukh too gave his confirmation at a recent event. According to a report on Missmalini.com, the actor was quoted saying that though he and Salman had many moments of happiness in their lives and a few moments of sorrow, he could safely assure that they will always be there for each other to share each other's happiness and despair. Shedding some insight into their relationship Shah Rukh admitted that the two shared the same relationship as they had 25 years ago and that there was no bad blood between them. He attributed their fights to the fact that both of them are hot headed Pathans who can have issues at times. He further stated that Arpita is close to him as well and he had seen her growing up from the little girl she was. He asserted the fact that it was their sister's marriage and they had to be present for it.

While the actors have begun afresh, their fans don't seem too convinced. Twitter wars are still waged over which Khan is better. To put an end to this sense of enmity, the actors' fan clubs have organised a cyber meet on Friendship Day on August 2, 2015. According to a report on Dailymail.co.uk, the actors have also given their consent to the event and are encouraging fans to take part. The gesture is also meant to spread peace and love among the two warring camps, and discourage extensive abuse and trolling of the superstars by thousands of rival fans.

Shah Rukh Khan had shared the first poster of Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan on Twitter and it seems like it is Salman’s turn to return the favour. According to an IANS report, when asked if he had seen the teaser of SRK's Fan, Salman was quoted as saying, "No, but I’ll go and see the teaser. But even without watching, I know that it’s going to be superb."

It came as a pleasant surprise When Shah Rukh Khan revealed the first look of Bajrangi Bhaijaan. However, the move was a well-planned one. Shah Rukh had apparently promised Salman Khan to promote his film when he had visited him at his house before Salman's court verdict was due. A source has been quoted on Bollywoodlife.com as saying that it’s not just the first teaser poster Shah Rukh had promised Salman to promote Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The source has further revealed that Kabir Khan is very pleased with this development and was very touched by Shah Rukh’s move. He has also reportedly personally thanked Shah Rukh for doing this for his movie.

Baba Siddiqui's iftar party 2015

Former state MP Baba Siddiqui's iftar parties have been in the news since 2013 when the warring Khans, Shah Rukh and Salman, buried their 10-year-old hatchet with a bear hug that grabbed headlines across the country. The same hug was repeated in 2014. However, in 2015, with SRK away in Bulgaria for the shooting of his home production, Dilwale, and Salman busy with the promotions of his own production, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, no one was expecting any fireworks at the suburban five-star hotel on Sunday (July 5, 2015) evening. But the celebratory mood quickly evaporated for the still photographers who were waiting to catch the red-carpet action, reports Mumbai Mirror.

The report stated that they had been herded into a barricade small enough for around 20 people which quickly filled up with more photographers, videographers and the electronic media, as news spread that Salman was expected with his entire family. "At 7:20 pm, with all the pushing and shoving going on, the barricade collapsed. Two photographers, Pradeep Das and Vinod Kumar Singh, are seriously injured and four others sustained minor injuries," the report quoted photographer Satish Malavade, adding that the media were being treated like cattle.

"Baba Siddiqui had been intimated about the poor arrangements before the accident but he showed little interest. When the media began to leave, his publicist informed that they had their own photographer to cover the event. After this, the aggrieved lensers decided to boycott the event and went back en masse," he said to Mirror. Further to the report, not a single picture of Salman was clicked.

Salman reciprocated by tweeting about King Khan's Raees. However, it seems that their fans are in no mood to forget the war and are busy trying to outdo each other. Ever since the news broke that Salman's Sultan and SRK's Raees is releasing on Eid in 2016, Twitter has been abuzz. Soon, ‘#SalmanMEGASTAROfCentury’ started trending on the micro-blogging site followed by SRK fans going all out with the "#SRKBiggestStarOfAllTime" hashtag.

Every year there are speculations that Shah Rukh Khan would visit Salman Khan's TV show to promote his film, and 2015 seems to be the special year. This will be for the very first time that the duo has come together on the TV show. SRK will be promoting his upcoming film Dilwale on the show. SRK and Salman Khan shot for the promo of the TV show.

While talking about his role in Dilwale at a recent event, SRK mentioned that he’s grateful he’s getting to do such romantic roles even at the age of 50. The actor said, “Earlier at 40, a hero was not a hero anymore. So, Salman and I were talking the other day that God has been so kind to us that we are 50, and we are still doing the same thing as we did when we were 25. It's a big thing for us.”

In the wee hours of November 2, Salman, who was busy promoting his Diwali release, Sooraj Barjatya's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, dropped by Mannat to greet birthday boy SRK on his 50th birthday.

Salman met SRK on his 50th birthday and the two shared a warm hug. SRK tweeted a picture of the hug and wrote, "Bhai teaching me the moves for Sultan on my birthday."

Apparently, when asked if Shah Rukh Khan would come on the reality TV show that Salman hosts to promote his upcoming film, Salman stated that he has extended a heartfelt invitation to his buddy last month. According to a Mumbai Mirror report, Salman has suggested that SRK can share his unique life experiences with the contestants and the two of them could then chat with them about their film journey, from shooting for the 1995 film, Karan Arjun to canning the climax sequence in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. A source has been quoted in the report as saying that, "The two actors will be shooting inside the Bigg Boss house next weekend. SRK's co-actors, including Kajol, may join too."

After seeing Shah Rukh Khan and team Dilwale's sweet gesture of dancing to their film's track, Salman apparently decided to return the favour with equal panache. In an all-night pre-Diwali bash, Salman apparently danced to a Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge number. A source has been quoted in a Mumbai Mirror report as saying that, “A surprised Salman immediately asked his staff to record a video of the PRDP team dancing to SRK's Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge chartbuster, 'Tujhe dekha toh,' a song he'd picked out himself," adding that the actor shot a second version with Sonam, both stretching out their arms in the signature SRK pose. He shared it captioning it Prem Dilwala to Raj Dilwale. SRK reciprocated by thanking him, prem se, for the return gift.

As per a report on Pinkvilla.com, Shah Rukh Khan was once again at his humorous best at a recently organised press conference for his upcoming TV show India Poochega - Sabse Shaana Kaun. On being asked about Salman Khan's Bigg Boss, Shah Rukh said that he had seen Salman hosting the show and thought that the show was good. And if the offer to host the show comes his way, he would definitely think about it. It was quite interesting to see Shah Rukh Khan talk about Bigg Boss and conveniently ignore Salman's contribution to the show, during the entire conversation.

Salman, who is busy promoting Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, took the opportunity of a media interaction to wish his friend. He said, “I wish him all the best. I wish him best of health, family, and a successful life. I wish his whole family always stay healthy. I wish his children take his name forward and go beyond what Shah Rukh did.”

According to a Mid-day.com report, Aditya Chopra is planning a two-hero film with Salman and Shah Rukh. A source was quoted in the report as saying that Aditya felt that the SRK-Salman combo will work wonders at the box-office. The report also stated that SRK had already given his nod to the film. However, YRF refused to comment on the development.

According to a report on Pinkvilla.com, a tabloid reported that Salman Khan had met Arjun Rampal at his own residence for some discussion when Arjun apparently began to gossip about Shah Rukh Khan. The report further stated that Salman did not tolerate this and asked Arjun to leave his house abruptly. Following this, Arjun retorted to the news report by tweeting, "So now I am bitching abt SRK to @BeingSalmanKhan at Salman's residence. Says trustworthy (name of the publication). What crap. When I never was at any dinner.’€ [sic]

2016: buddies

Riding bicycles in Bandra

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan fans were in for a surprise when a promotional dialogue from the movie 'Sultan' was released recently. The clip titled 'Khud ko Shah Rukh Khan samajh ke' reveals Salman Khan's character in the movie to be an SRK fan. King Khan, on the other hand, took to his Twitter account to share an awesome 'bhai-bhai' selfie with Sallu. Both the superstars are seen on cycles, smiling for the cameras and the camaraderie shared between them is for everyone to see. Sharing the pic, SRK captioned it, "Bhai bhai on bike bike. No pollution…bhai says “Michael Lal Cycle Lal.”

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan's 'bhai bhai' picture went viral on the internet a few days back. The two were also clicked riding bicycles on the streets of Bandra recently. Now, let us throw some light on what exactly happened before the duo actually planned the ride. Reportedly, it was just another rainy day when Shah Rukh Khan was at some brand event and called Salman Khan to catch up with him. Both of them enjoyed a nice dinner that included biryani, kebabs and the best delicacies. Post dinner, they both stayed up all night chatting and in the early morning Salman suggested a bicycle ride. SRK, in return, totally agreed to the ride, despite the fact that he was wearing formals. Shah Rukh then called his son Aryan to join them. Aryan cycled from Mannat to where his dad and his friend were, while Salman got his security to pull out two of his favourite rides. The men hit the streets at like 5.45 am followed by Salman’s BMW and two bodyguards on a scooter.

TOIFA 2016

It is still a joy to catch them bonding and chilling together, like it happened at TOIFA 2016. We first brought to you pictures of the two Khans rehearsing and then hanging out together and now we hear this… So we know that Dubai is second home for King Khan and the actor threw a grand bash at his hotel suite post the award ceremony, as reported by Mid-Day. The list of invitees included Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Parineeti Chopra, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and of course, Bhaijaan Salman! Reportedly the two Khans partied hard and spent a lot of time talking to each other. Both of them were bonding big time as their talks went on till wee hours in the morning!

A scene from 'Karan Arjun' was recreated recently when Shah Rukh Khan gave a surprise visit to Salman Khan on the sets of the latter’s 'Sultan’. According to a report on Bollywoodlife.com, SRK was shooting for his forthcoming movie 'Raees' at Filmcity when he decided to visit his foe-turned-friend Salman on the sets of 'Sultan' nearby. Both the Khans looked visibly excited to see each other and even shared a fun-filled friendly banter! As seen in the picture above, a song sequence was being shot when SRK visited the sets. The decoration makes us believe that it could be a wedding song and one can even see Salman playing harmonium in the song. Salman showed King Khan some of the scenes from his movie and mentioned how he was thrilled to see the trailer of SRK's 'Fan'

On one hand, while Salman Khan's ‘Sultan’ will clash with Shah Rukh Khan's ‘Raees’ at the box office, with people already talking about a probable cold war between the two emperors of box office, here's the news that would put all the rumours about the rift between the two Khans to rest. According to a report on BollywoodLife, the trailer of Salman Khan's 'Sultan' will be attached with Shah Rukh Khan's 'Fan', which released on April 15.. Given that both are YRF backed films, it was a no-brainer, states a report on DNA.com.

on Twitter. While Salman went all praise for SRK's Raees teaser, Shah Rukh requested Salman to send home some biryani for his kids. Salman Khan. He tweeted, "RAEESSSSSSS ah raha hai. Filhaal teaser dekho aur enjoy karo behaad." [sic] Shah Rukh Khan quick to repply to Sallu's tweet. "@BeingSalmanKhan abhi Bulgaria mein hoon aa nahi sakta. Thodi Biryani bhijwade ghar mein bachhon ke liye. Eid Mubarak & love to family," [sic] he tweeted.According to a report on Bollywoodlife.com, Salman said that he has asked Kabir Khan to get more biryani and send it to SRK.

Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have shot for an episode of a TV show together and it has made headlines already. It is then no wonder that little snippets from the shoot keep surfacing from time to time. According to the latest bit of information, Shah Rukh will apparently be seen sporting a special shirt in one of the promotional videos shot for the show. Reportedly, the shirt has been gifted to the baadshah by none other than bhai. Apparently, Salman wanted Shah Rukh to wear a 'Being Human' shirt and Shah Rukh, being the generous friend that he is, happily obliged.

Their bond is healthier than ever with Shah Rukh confirming that he finds a brother in Salman Khan. In a recent Q-n-A session on Twitter, a fan asked King Khan if he wished he had a real brother. SRK was quick to reply saying, “My two boys are now like my friends and brothers and everything so I am ok. And there is always bhaijaan

SRK and Salman, who co-starred in the 1995 hit, Karan Arjun, recently reunited for the latter's TV show. At an event, SRK talked about the experience and said, "More than reprising the Karan Arjun feel, it's just nice always to be with Salman. We have shared a lot of personal moments together but we were shooting after a long time. We were together for three-four hours and talked more than shooting for the promo, which we did in one, one and a half hours." The Chennai Express actor also hummed a few lines of the famous, 'Yeh bandhan toh...' song from Karan Arjun describing his friendship with Salman. "It was fun to be with him. As he says, 'I don't want to make it melodramatic and emotional.' Ye bandhan toh pyaar ka bandhan hai. It was good to be with him," he said.

According to a report on Bollywoodlife.com, on being asked about his reaction to Salman Khan’s acquittal in the hit-and-run case, Shah Rukh said that he hasn’t spoken to him. However, he added that they are friends, and if it's good for Salman, then even he'll feel just as good.

Salman and Shah Rukh had a long conversation before they could get ready to shoot for a TV show. According to a source from MissMalini.com, the two met each other as long lost friends. For the first 90 minutes, Shah Rukh and Salman Khan were sitting outside the vanity van and were involved in a long discussion. Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan said, "Main tujhse naraz hoon..." to which Salman also added, "Abhi bhi dil mein kuch baatein chubhti hai...".

While Salman Khan's Sultan and Shah Rukh Khan's Raees are all set to clash at the box-office on Eid 2016 and the fans are warring over who had announced the release date first, the baadshah is nonchalant and jests that now that they are friends, they will not only release films together but also collaborate on many more things. "I am as excited about the film as you all are because of the social media. Firstly it is not a clash. There are only 365 days and 54 Fridays in a year. We make approximately 200 films a year. So, a box-office clash with some other film is inevitable. Most people working on both the films are friends. As far as Sultan goes, Aditya Chopra is producing the film and Salman is acting in it. As for Raees, it is an Excel Production and I am acting it. Now that we have become friends, hum sab kuch saath saath karenge, filmein bhi saath mein release karenge... As far as the teams are concerned we all are loving, respectable and friendly people. We will work out things in a way that we get best business time," said SRK.

Relations with Aamir

Why Salman, SRK and Aamir will not do a film together

Salman, Aamir and Shah Rukh Khan are the three powerful Khans of Bollywood and their fans would like to see them sharing screen space. There were reports that Sajid Nadiadwala would bring them together in a film, but it seems that the Khans are in no mood to be a part of a film. According to a report on Bollywoodlife.com, SRK was quoted as saying that all of them meet and talk, but never discuss films. He also said that Salman had once cracked a joke that they won't do a film together because they will end up fighting. Apparently, Salman had joked that while one will keep using his brains, another will finish the work quickly and the third Khan will not reach the sets on time. So, they summed up that it was impossible for them to do a film together.

As per a report in Hindustan Times, Farah Khan has quashed all rumours of her bringing together the Khan trinity (Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman) for her cookery show, Farah Ki Daawat. Farah Khan said that she had tried bringing the three Khans together for her film, Om Shanti Om, but did not succeed. She further added that even God can't bring together the three Khans now

The report also stated that Aamir Khan has booked a luxurious hotel in Lonavala for all the guests who will be pampered with spa and private pool facilities

Taking their newfound friendship, a step ahead, Aamir Khan held a special screening of his upcoming film, PK for Shah Rukh and Salman Khan. The trio recently met during the anniversary celebrations of a TV show and their camaraderie was for all to see. The level of comfort was apparent when the three did the towel dance together and also kept taking digs at each other throughout the show. A report in Mid-day quoted a source as saying that Aamir wanted to show the first copy of his film to Salman and SRK and had told the production team to arrange a special screening for them. The report quoted another source, close to the film, as confirming that Aamir indeed planned a special preview. He further stated that during their recent meeting, the three of them had a long discussion over PK. They might have not been able to make it to Arpita Khan's wedding and reception at the same time, but the Khans of Bollywood - Aamir, Shah Rukh and Salman, finally managed to come together on the stage for the first time at an event. The trio who seemed to be at loggerheads, squashed all rumours of a reported rift when they came together for the 21st anniversary celebration of a TV show. Was Aamir Khan nervous about Salman Khan-Shah Rukh Khan's budding friendship

It is a known fact that Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are mending ways. From SRK attending Arpita's wedding to both the Khans promoting each other's films on Twitter, the Khans seem to have buried the hatchet for good. However, according to a report on Bollywoodlife.com, Aamir Khan is feeling sidelined and cornered. The report quoted a source as saying that Salman Khan's proximity with SRK was not a good sign for Aamir.

Shah Rukh Khan, in an interview with DNA, has said that he has no time to think about insecurities. He also said that if anyone feels that Aamir, Salman or he are bothered by what is being written about them or what number they have been given, they are only being silly. He also said that they are not born with numbers and hence wouldn’t want to be numbered now.

The fans of the three Khan's of Bollywood Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir were really disappointed when SRK tweeted that the three superstars doing a film together is just a rumour. However, looks like they should not lose hope as filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala has not given up and is still adament about casting SRK, Salman, Aamir in his film, reports NDTV.com. The Kick director revealed few unknown secrets about the three Khans in the report. He said that the three Khan's were always friend and they were just acting.
