Miss India 1989/90: Suzanne Sablok created ripples at the Miss Universe contest by by coming second in the swimsuit round although she muffed in the final answer round. And came eighth. Sablok ended the drought of India in Miss Universe placing after 16 years.After the pageant, she was a leading model. At the peak of her career she quit modelling to marry the man she loved, Rajesh Pillai and shifted to Australia.
