UP: Selfies near trains
The Times of India, Apr 21 2016
Selfie near train can land you in jail in UP
The Government Railway Police has directed station officials in UP to book people taking selfies on platforms, at the doors of trains and on railway tracks, reports Arvind Chauhan.
They will be booked under sections for attempt to commit suicide or creating nuisance, which can invite a jail term of up to a year, “as this activity is liable to endanger not only their lives, but also those of others“.The order came following the deaths of three youths and a man, all allegedly killed while taking selfies close to the railway track.
